One of the most talked about outfits seen on the red carpet of Oscar 2019 was worn by Emma Stone. She wore a stunning burgundy Louis Vuitton gown. The beaded, pearl and sequin embroidery along the sleek silhouette gave it a gorgeous look. She complemented the outfit with a chic makeup look and hair bun.
‘A Star Is Born’ actor and singer, Lady Gaga, arrived at the Academy Awards dressed like a dream. She wore a structural Alexander McQueen black gown. She accessorised her outfit with a 128-carat yellow diamond necklace by Tiffany’s that was once worn by Audrey Hepburn for ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ promotions. She complemented the look with minimal makeup and styled her hair in a Holly Golightly-esque up-do.
The ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ actress, Regina King arrived the Oscars 2019 donning a classic white Oscar de la Renta number. The column gown flaunted a narrow sequin layer at the top with a beautifully draped bodice that gathered at the waist and met the magnificent lower-hip-high slit. King complemented her gorgeous outfit with diamond accessories and matching stilettoes. She kept her makeup minimal and tresses open.
‘Games of Thrones’ star Emilia Clarke led the best dressed at the Oscars 2019 in a lilac strapless sparkling with a flowing train. Her strapless gown was incredibly flattering and ruffled neckline. The British beauty went back to her roots on Sunday night with a sleek brunette bob – that she admitted to dying herself at home, just before the shoe. She complemented the outfit with studded jewellery, minimal makeup and a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes.
Gemma Chan made fans do a double take when she arrived at the Oscars with a soft but stunning fashion look, wearing a pink and ruffled Valentino gown. The parachute-like, voluminous gown features a ruffled high-collar and pockets. The Crazy Rich Asians actress wore lavender eye shadow with teal blueliner and pink lips. Her hair was tied back in an elegant chignon, which looked classic from the front, but features an unexpected twist when the actress turned her head. At the back of her head were two barrettes with rhinestones that added a trendy addition to her look. One pin spelt out ‘love’ and the other was a half moon shape.
Billy Porter stole the show as he stunned everyone by wearing a tuxedo gown by Christian Siriano. Setting the fashion trends very high, the masterpiece featured silk lapels, a black bow tie and a ball skirt. He accessorised the look with jewellery by Oscar Heyman and Bros. He definitely deserved to win the golden trophy just for his spectacular gender fluid outfit.
Another outfit that swept everyone off their feet at the Oscar 2019 red carpet was Chadwick Boseman’s. The ‘Black Panther’ actor wore a wide-legged black pant with sequin train and pair it with a sequin blazer. He complemented the look with a pair of black dress shoes that features a slightly pointed toe.
The ‘Aquaman’ actor, Jason Momoa, walked the Oscar 2019 red carpet in a rose-coloured suit with the black racing stripe going down the pant leg. Paying homage to the pop singer ‘Prince’, Spike Lee wore a purple suit with matching hat and glasses by Ozwald Boateng. Lee wore a chunky necklace made of diamond, gold and opal, featuring the famous symbol of that Prince used in place of his name. He completed the outfit with a pair of specially-made gold Nikes. The director was also seen sporting the famous ‘Love’ and ‘Hate’ rings which were worn by a character in his 1989 classic ‘Do The Right Thing.’
The ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ actor, Rami Malek, chose to keep it sharp and classic this time. He wore a classic three-piece black tuxedo, designed by Anthony Vaccarello of Saint Laurent. The best actor winner accessorised the custom-made outfit with a Cartier watch and cufflinks. He complemented the look with a pair of classic black oxford shoes.
