Here are 5 Homemade Face Packs that help you beat the monsoon blues.

Freshening facial toner

Your skin needs a little push this season and what better way to keep it cool than rosewater. Counter the weather with this scented toner, which will refresh your skin instantly. Combine equal parts of rose water and cucumber juice in a spray bottle and leave it to cool in the fridge and spray it on your face when you need a pick-me-up.

Jojoba oil, fresh curd face pack

If your skin is lacking in moisture or it’s dry and itchy, jojoba oil and curd will ensure your skin looks happy again. It is also a great remedy to soothe your under eye circles.  The curd moisturizes the skin, while the essential oil soothes it.

Here’s what you need:
Jojoba oil; Fresh curd; Honey. Combine two tablespoons of jojoba oi with two tablespoons of fresh curd along with one tablespoon of honey.  Mix them all together and apply onto your face. Leave it on for 10 or 15 mins and rinse it off with a mild face wash.

Oatmeal face pack

Oatmeal is not only good for digestion, but also for your face. It makes your face look fresh and glowing. Oatmeal helps to remove any dead skin cells, redness or irritation due to the weather.

Here’s what you need:
Oatmeal; Egg white; Honey; Fresh curd. Combine three tablespoons of oatmeal with egg, one tablespoon of honey with two tablespoons of fresh curd. Mix all the items and leave it to chill. Wash your face and then apply the face pack. Leave it for 10 or 15 mins and rinse.

Mint and Banana face pack

Give your skin a natural glow with a mint and banana face pack. Grind 15-20 mint leaves and add it to half a mashed banana.  Apply the mixture on your face and leave it for 15 or 20 mins.

Rice flour and curd scrub

The monsoon can leave your face looking dull and drained, this facial scrub will help cleanse your skin and make it glow.

Here’s what you need:
Rice flour or ground almonds and curd. Grind rice or almonds and combine it with curd to make a paste out it.  Apply the mixture before going to bed to remove all impurities. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes and then, scrub the paste of your face.

Pamper your skin this season and make sure to wash your face regularly to keep it clean.  Give your skin a little extra tender, loving and care this season.
