DIY Hair-Masks To Nurture Your Hair This Monsoon

Avocado and almond oil mask

Avocado mixed with almond or olive oil is a great hair mask to bring back lustre to  your dull and lifeless hair . Take a ripe avocado, add some oil to it and apply this mixture. Leave it on for 30 minutes before rinsing it off. The avocado mask will revitalize the hair.

Banana hair mask

Bananas are great for rejuvenating dull and dry hair. All you need is  1-2 ripe bananas, 1 tablespoon each of honey, olive oil, and raw milk. Apply this mixture on the hair and leave it on for 20 minutes for healthy and bouncy hair. Rinse it off using a mild shampoo.

Coconut oil hair mask

The coconut oil mask along with some essential oils like almond or olive may seem sticky but works great on damaged hair. Mix the oils in a small bowl, heat it slightly and apply this mixture  evenly on your scalp. You can keep this mask  on your hair for an hour and rinse it off with a mild shampoo.

Egg mask

Egg masks work well for damaged hair. You will need one egg and a bit of lemon juice for this mask. Beat this mixture until it’s frothy in a bowl and apply it evenly on the scalp. Cover it with a shower cap, leave it for 20 minutes and then rinse it well. If you have an oily scalp then only use the egg white.

Aloe Vera and olive oil mask

Aloe Vera is known for its countless benefits. It can be mixed with yogurt, coconut oil or castor oil depending on your hair’s length to give it a sheen. Extract the gel from the plant and mix it with coconut oil and honey, use this as an application to soothe a dry scalp.

Yogurt and egg masks

Yoghurt and egg mixture is the easiest way to get shiny and smooth hair. Take half a cup of yogurt and one egg; skip the yolk if you have an oily scalp. Apply this mask and leave it for 20 minutes and rinse it off.

Curry leaves and coconut oil

Curry leaves are known for their hair growth boosting properties. Add curry leaves to coconut oil in a pan and heat on a low flame. Once the leaves change their color, strain the mixture and apply it to your scalp after cooling.
