Spring Makeup Trends for the New Season

In Spring 2022, we’re saying makeup being the showstopper just as much as the outfits so here are all the ways you can incorporate runway-approved spring makeup trends, whether it’s for work, parties or just some everyday fun!

We’ve been using contour to make our faces appear sharper and more dramatic but the latest trend is to do it with blush! Use the Bobbi Brown Blush, in a gorgeous brick-red coral shade that suits every skin tone and is high on drama. Place it on your temples to make your face appear sharper or on the apples of your cheeks for a fuller look. Amp up the rosiness with the Clinique Highlight Chubby Stick on your cheekbones for extra glow!

Green and pink are the statement colours of the season so bring them together in your makeup look. Use the Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow Palette for a wash of green all over your eyelids and complement it with the Revlon Love That Lipstick, a bright pop of classic pink that suits every skin tone. Pair this with a dewy base instead of a matte one and you can even add some lip gloss for an extra natural, glowy look.

Neon shades have our hearts and a subtler way to wear them is by bringing them to your nails! The Lakme Absolute Gel Stylist Colour in Mojito is your classic neon green in a gel-line glossy finish, which you can even tone down with white nail art. Our next pick is the MyGlamm Lit Matte in Yellow, a sunshine yellow that’s perfect for spring and a matte finish that helps tone down the shade.

Frosted pink lips are back from the 90s and it’s one of the most easy-to-recreate trends this Spring. Start off with the Bobbi Brown Luxe Matte Lip Colour in a nude pink shade that can be paired with a nude lip liner for darker skin tones. Next, top it off with the Estee Lauder Lip Volumizer, an almost-clear lip gloss with a hint of pink that doesn’t just amp up the lip look but also plumps your lips. Pair this with glossy eyelids and a matte base to draw all the attention to the lips.

Coral is the one shade that suits any and every skin tone and we’re making it the star with monochrome coral looks. Start off with a dewy base and add the MAC Burnt Pepper Powder Blush to the apples of your cheek, extending it over the bridge of your nose for a sunkissed look. Complete the look with the MAC Lustreglass See Sheer Lipstick, a sheer yet deeply pigmented lipstick in a lovely muted coral. Choose between a natural brown eyeliner or statement coral eyes and you have the perfect Spring look!

Let Spring take over your makeup looks with fresh colours, dewy details and a whole lot of experimentation. After all, that’s what new seasons are for!
